Tony Windo returns to Gloucester as scrum coach

Windo appointed Gloucester scrum coach
Former Gloucester player Tony Windo returns to the club on a part-time basis as scrum coach.

Gloucester have announced the acquisition of former player Tony Windo as the club's new scrum coach on a part-time basis.

Windo, who played for the Premiership team until 1999, will split his duties between Gloucester and a director of rugby role at Bromsgrove School.

"I'm going to be working on a consultancy basis, coming in for one or two mornings a week, while continuing my role at Bromsgrove School," Windo told the club's official website

"I consider it a great honour to get the opportunity to coach my hometown team and one that I was proud to represent as a player. I'm delighted to be involved. To be back there as part of the coaching team is a great honour and I'm really looking forward to being at Kingsholm on the opening day of the season."

Windo hung up his boots in 2008 to embark on a coaching career.
