Mike Brown: 'We wanted to set marker against Ireland'

England full-back Mike Brown says that England were looking to set down a marker when they faced previously unbeaten Ireland today.

Full-back Mike Brown believes that England have laid down a marker following their victory over Ireland at Twickenham.

England drew level on points with their opponents with the 13-10 win.

"Obviously every game is huge for us," Brown told Sky Sports. "They were unbeaten and we wanted to set a marker today.

"All the boys were outstanding: one to 15, the guys coming off the bench, awesome, we're really happy."

England are back in action in a fortnight's time when they host Wales.
