England scrum-half Ben Youngs: 'We have to make Australia quit'

England scrum-half Ben Youngs is adamant that his side need to put the pressure on Australia to make them crack in their must-win clash at the Rugby World Cup.

England scrum-half Ben Youngs has called on his side to raise the level of their intensity to make Australia quit their showdown in the Rugby World Cup.

The Red Rose need to beat the Wallabies to keep their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the competition alive following their agonising defeat to Wales last week.

Youngs believes that he and his teammates have to exert pressure on Michael Cheika's team to make them crack at Twickenham.

The 26-year-old told BBC Sport: "We've got to come out with a real intensity and edge to our game. Australia have a reason to quit.

"They can go to Wales and get a result, they can afford to lose a game, we can't and we've got to make sure we give them a reason to quit.

"Physicality, don't match what they bring - we've got to go above that. The resilience in the team is the fact we cannot quit."

England face Australia in their must-win match later today.
