Martin Johnson has hailed second-row Courtney Lawes ahead of England’s clash against Wales on August 13.
The 41-year-old coach has included Lawes into the England side after their 23-19 victory over Wales at Twickenham last Saturday.
Lawes, who has recovered from a neck injury suffered a fortnight ago, has been hailed as one of the best second-rows in the country from his coach.
"As someone said, 'When he's playing you can hear it when he's hitting them ... there's a distinctive noise," The Guardian quotes Johnson as saying.
"He's the most athletic second-row I've seen in terms of pace round the field. He gives you some real defensive line speed and he can obviously hit very hard.
“He carries the ball well, he's an instinctive player and he's got a good level of intensity and aggression as well. He's developing into an all-round second-row."
The return match between England and Wales will take place at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, August 13.
