Danny Cipriani arrested on suspicion of drink driving

Danny Cipriani is arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crash on Monday morning.

England fly-half Danny Cipriani was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crash at 5.15am on Monday.

The player was breathalysed after his Mercedes collided with a Toyota in Chelsea, West London, and he was taken to a police station before being released on bail.

"The driver of the Mercedes, a 27-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving," a Met Police spokeswoman said.

"He was taken to a West London police station where he was later released on police bail."

Cipriani was named man of the match in England's 73-12 win over the Barbarians on Sunday.
