Bill Tupou joins Wakefield Trinity Wildcats until end of season

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats sign Bill Tupou from Canberra Raiders on a deal until the end of the season.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have confirmed the signing of Bill Tupou from Canberra Raiders until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old back has represented both New Zealand and Tonga at international level.

Lee Smith has also joined the Super League club, while Matt Ryan has departed.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity," Tupou is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I want to help the club remain in Super League and will give my everything to try to make that happen."

The Wildcats are currently at the bottom of the table with six points from 22 games.
