Call The Cops takes the Pertemps Network Final

Call The Cops edges out Unique De Cotte to win the Pertemps Network Final at the Cheltenham Festival.

Call The Cops has emerged victorious in the Pertemps Network Final after edging a close finish in Thursday's second race at the Cheltenham Festival.

Much of the early pace was made by Bygones Sovereign, but during the final half-a-dozen fences, the pack closed up on the long-time leader before surging clear.

After jumping the final fence, five horses remained in a competitive fight towards the line, but it was 9/1 shot Call The Cops, ridden by Andrew Tinkler and trained by Nicky Henderson, who made it to the line in front of his rivals.

Unique De Cotte trailed by two lengths in second, with The Tourard Man, Henryville and Aqalim following in third, fourth and fifth respectively.
