They may have 25 world and Olympic titles between them, but Usain Bolt, Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis-Hill can finally add a Blue Peter badge to their ever-growing list of gleaming accolades.
The trio, who have all won at least one gold in their respective fields at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing this week, have been honoured with the award for inspiring the next generation of athletes.
Farah, who has already retained his 10,000m title and will bid to do the same in Saturday's 5,000m final, told BBC Sport: "Thank you, and to all the kids out there - just work hard at it.
"You can't achieve anything overnight; be patient, take your time, enjoy what you do."
Ewan Vinnicombe, editor of the famous children's television programme, which was first broadcast in 1958, added: "It's great to see some of the most famous athletes in the world with their own Blue Peter Sport Badge for encouraging so many people to support Team GB and to get into sport."
On Thursday, Bolt, who pipped Justin Gatlin to 100m glory on Sunday, edged out his American rival once again by winning gold in the 200m to reach double figures in terms of world titles.
Meanwhile, Ennis-Hill, competing for the first time since the birth of her son last summer, blew away the field by winning the heptathlon earlier this week. She only resumed training last autumn.
