Rangers fans sign petition to include team in 'FIFA 16'

Over 1,300 Rangers fans sign a petition to include the Scottish Championship club in FIFA 16.

Over 1,300 Rangers fans have signed a petition after it was revealed that the Glasgow club was not included in the FIFA 16 video game.

Rangers have been included in the game in the past three years, despite playing outside of the Scottish Premiership, but EA Sports failed to complete a deal for the club's licensing.

"We can confirm we did not reach a licensing agreement with Rangers and they are not in FIFA 16," an EA Sports spokesperson said in a statement.

"However, newly-promoted Hearts will feature in the game with the other 11 authentic clubs from the Scottish Premiership."

The game is due to be released on September 22.
