Andy Murray and his parents 'sued by ex-adviser'

Andy Murray and his parents are reportedly being sued by an ex-adviser, who claims that he is entitled to 10% of the tennis star's commercial deals.

British tennis number one Andy Murray and his parents Judy and William are reportedly being sued by an ex-adviser.

Texas-based David Cody, who was appointed as a professional career adviser to the sportsman and his parents in 2003, is said to be seeking a portion of Murray's fortune.

The High Court in London has heard that Mr Cody claims that he deserves 10% of gross payments from all of Murray's commercial and sponsorship deals, according to the Daily Mail.

The dispute began after Murray signed a two-year sponsorship deal with RBS stating that Mr Cody was only entitled to 10% commission on cash received up to December 2005, when his agreement with the sportsman and his parents had allegedly come to an end.

Mr Cody is said to have dropped his claims in May 2006 in return for a £65,000 payoff, but the adviser has challenged the matter once again by claiming that he had not read the full facts before agreeing the settlement.
