BT Sport launches 'Soccer Saturday' rival
BT Sport is launching a live Saturday football scores programme to rival Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday.

BT Sport is to launch a new Saturday afternoon live results show to rival Sky Sports' long-running Soccer Saturday.

BT Sport Score will begin on the first day of the new Premier League season - Saturday, August 13 - at 2.30pm, with Mark Pougatch taking on the Jeff Stelling role in the hotseat.

Pundits will include Harry Redknapp, David James, Jermaine Jenas, Harry Kewell and Howard Webb, while the show will cover scores from the big games across England, Europe and the Women's Super League.

BT Sport Score will serve as a lead-in for the Saturday night Premier League games, which are being shown on BT Sport for the first time this season.

"Football fans can look forward to a topical feast of football on Saturday on BT Sport with exciting new shows alongside fantastic exclusively live action. This season we will show more Premier League games than ever before at the new kickoff time of 5.30pm," said Simon Green, head of BT Sport.

"BT Sport Score will keep people up to date with all the news whilst offering diverse opinions in a relaxed and informal way."

The broadcaster is also launching a new Saturday night discussion and analysis programme, Premier League Tonight, which will air after the live game at 8pm.
