Former Liverpool and Scotland midfielder Graeme Souness has been admitted to hospital in Bournemouth.
The 62-year-old was taken to receive medical treatment on Friday, but no further details have been released.
Souness - who also played for Middlesbrough, Sampdoria and Rangers - currently works as a pundit for Sky Sports News.
Jeff Stelling opened his Saturday afternoon show on the same channel by saying: "Souey, if you're watching, get well very quickly."
Souness underwent triple heart bypass surgery at the age of 38 while managing Liverpool, but continued at Anfield for a further two years before going on to manage a host of other clubs, including Galatasaray and Benfica.
