Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has been charged with criminal damage following an arrest in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 21-year-old, who has had a number of off-field problems during his time with the Magpies, was arrested at the scene of a house in Enfield, North London after a report of a disturbance was made to police.
Scotland Yard have confirmed that they arrived at the house to find the front door of the property had suffered sufficient damage.
Ranger, who recently carried out a loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday, will stand before Enfield Magistrates' Court later today.
