Newly-crowned Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has admitted that it's "tough" to maintain a relationship with popstar girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
Long-distance problems have caused the couple, who began dating back in 2007, to briefly split up, but the pair have rekindled their relationship.
"It's not been easy - she lives in LA, I live in Monaco and I'm travelling a lot for work," the Daily Mail quotes Hamilton as saying.
"Her job is shifting all the time, whether it's The X Factor or Dancing With The Stars or Cats or music.
"Juggling your schedule to meet with the other is very hard, and it's a long year with F1. At one point I flew to Asia for five weeks and couldn't see her. It's been tough."
Scherzinger joined Hamilton's family and friends when he clinched the F1 title with Mercedes by winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last Sunday.
