Monday's pre-season friendly between Manchester United and Manchester City looks to be heading for a cancellation due to the extreme weather conditions in Beijing.
Storms have swept across China's capital in recent days and it was claimed as early as last Thursday that the match could be called off due to the heavy thunderstorms that have taken place over the last nine days.
Meanwhile, Man United's plane, which was en route to Beijing on Saturday, was forced to make a diversion to Tianjin due to the dangerous flying conditions.
The weather has not eased on Sunday and the pre-season match is expected to be cancelled if the rain continues throughout the night, which would make the pitch unplayable.
