Sky Sports selects televised EFL Cup games for third round

The televised third-round EFL Cup fixtures are announced by Sky Sports, with an all-Premier League tie and a potential upset selected by the broadcaster.

Sky Sports has announced that the all-Premier League affair between Leicester City and Chelsea in the third round of the EFL Cup has been selected for live TV coverage.

Manchester United's trip to Northampton Town has also been chosen, with a potential upset on the cards at Sixfields Stadium for the Premier League giants.

The meeting between six-time winners Chelsea and reigning top-flight champions Leicester will take place on Tuesday, September 20, while United's first cup tie under Jose Mourinho is scheduled for the following evening.

Wednesday's third-round draw also saw Southampton paired with Crystal Palace and Swansea City handed a home tie with Manchester City.
