Cesare Prandelli speaks of lightning ordeal

Cesare Prandelli says that anyone would be scared if their plane was struck by lightening like Italy's was yesterday.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has spoken of the moment when lightning struck the wing of his team's plane to Switzerland.

The Azzurri were en route to Geneva for tonight's friendly match with Brazil when the bolt hit the jet, striking fear into the heart of the 55-year-old and his players.

"I challenge anyone to say they weren't scared," Prandelli told reporters.

"There was a loud 'boom' and then silence. The bolt of lightning hit the wing."

No-one on board was hurt.
