Comedian attempts to board England plane

Comedian Simon Brodkin is stopped by security as he attempts to board England's plane bound for Miami.

A comedian was led away this afternoon by police as he attempted to board the plane that is taking England's 23-man World Cup squad to Miami for a training camp.

Simon Brodkin, who was posing as Jason Bent - a character from his television series that is a professional footballer - was dressed in the same suit as the players as he joined the queue.

However, moments later, Brodkin was hauled away by security and police as the squad and coaching staff looked on.

Two seasons ago, Brodkin, 36, managed to get on to the pitch to train with Manchester City players - an offence which landed him in court.
