Adam Lallana's best man Jamie Whisken has revealed that the Southampton midfielder will have to postpone his wedding if he gets called into England's World Cup squad.
The Three Lions will fly to Brazil next summer for the tournament, and Lallana could be in contention after receiving a call-up into Roy Hodgson's squad for friendlies against Chile and Germany.
"I am due to be best man at his wedding next summer but, if he goes to Brazil, he won't be getting married then," Whisken told the Daily Echo.
"We all want him to go to the World Cup and, if he got there, I would be very happy. His fiancee completely understands what it would mean and that he could not turn it down."
Lallana will start for England in tonight's friendly against the Germans at Wembley.
