England fans who have applied for tickets to Euro 2016 have begun to receive confirmations of whether their applications have been successful.
Tickets to the tournament are being allocated by the Football Association according to a number of factors, including previous attendance records and random lottery.
Each country's football association is responsible for allocating its share of tickets to games, which is typically 16% of the total tickets per match for each team. A further 42% of tickets to every match are available through a separate general ticketing process, which will be operated entirely by random draw after all of the national draws have taken place.
England fans took to Twitter throughout Wednesday to reveal the outcome of their applications, with some reacting more positively than others.

£432 for #euro2016 tickets when i'm on 54 caps with @england is a bit of a joke, penalised for applying with mates. £244 for the lot alone.
