Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is reportedly expected to be on the sidelines for two months with a knee ligament injury.
The 30-year-old did not travel to Denmark with his teammates for Thursday's Europa League last-32 first leg against FC Midtjylland.
It is not known how or when Rooney picked up the injury, but according to The Times, the striker is likely to be on the treatment table until April.
The forward, who is expected to captain England at the European Championships in France this summer, struggled for form during the first half of the season, but has improved on the goal front.
Rooney has scored seven times in United's last nine games.
