Luis Suarez, David Luiz join anti-racism support for Dani Alves

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Chelsea's David Luiz become the latest footballers to back Dani Alves after a banana was thrown at him on the pitch.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Chelsea defender David Luiz are the latest footballers to deliver an anti-racism message in support of Barcelona's Dani Alves.

During Barca's 3-2 victory over Villarreal on Sunday, a banana was thrown onto the pitch while Alves was lining up to take a corner.

The Barca defender reacted to the alleged racist attack by taking a bite out of the piece of fruit before continuing the game.

A number of players, including Neymar, backed Alves's reaction by posing with photos of bananas and using the hashtag #weareallmonkeys on social media.

Now, Suarez and Liverpool teammate Philippe Coutinho have added to the movement, as well as Luiz and Chelsea pair Oscar and Willian.
