Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho decided to bring bottles of champagne to his press conference on Tuesday for the assembled media to celebrate his 51st birthday.
The Portuguese coach claimed last week that he would give champagne to the reporters during the conference previewing tomorrow's clash against West Ham United.
"We have to drink champagne because we are improving a lot," the Daily Mail quotes Mourinho as saying. "Hopefully we can drink champagne again in the future."
A similar gesture was made last year under then interim manager Rafael Benitez, who bought the press a selection of cakes from a local bakery to celebrate his 53rd birthday.
Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
