Liverpool, Chelsea fans fight outside Anfield

A group of Liverpool and Chelsea supporters are reportedly involved in punch-up outside Anfield following Sunday's Premier League clash.

A number of Chelsea and Liverpool supporters got involved in a brawl outside Anfield following Sunday's crucial Premier League clash.

After the Reds' title hopes took a hit following a 2-0 defeat to Jose Mourinho's men, things appeared to get heated.

Photographs have emerged of police officers restraining supporters outside the Anfield Road end of the stadium.

According to the Daily Mail, punch-ups broke out after a collection of Chelsea fans chanted about Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, whose slip led to Demba Ba's opening goal towards the end of the first half.

Liverpool have a two-point lead over Chelsea at the top of the table, while the title race is now in Manchester City's hands as they reside three points behind the Reds with a game in hand and a superior goal difference.
