Carlisle United have undertaken a mammoth effort to clear their pitch from severe flooding at Brunton Park.
The ground became overwhelmed with water when the River Petterill burst its banks due to heavy rainfall over the weekend.
However, the club's ground staff, along with the Environment Agency, helped to remove the surface water, making their pitch playable for a match on Tuesday between Cumbria and Doncaster in the FA Youth Cup, as well as Carlisle's League Two clash against Portsmouth on Saturday.
Carlisle also experienced severe flooding when the River Eden burst its banks in 2004 and again in 2009.
