American Colin Edwards has insisted that there is nothing he could have done to avoid the crash which killed Marco Simoncelli.
Edwards, along with Valentino Rossi, was involved in a collision with 24-year-old Simoncelli in Malaysia a fortnight ago that resulted in the Italian losing his life.
Having taken time to consider the incident, 37-year-old Edwards believes that he could not have done anything differently.
"I have asked myself a thousand questions since the crash," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "What might have happened if I had reacted differently?
"Could I have done anything else? But I've watched the footage again and I know there is absolutely nothing I could have done to avoid Marco."
Edwards dislocated his shoulder in the collision.
