England's Bob Love: Winning bowls bronze is "pinnacle" of career

England lawn bowls bronze medallist Bob Love admits that winning a Commonwealth Games medal is the pinnacle of his sporting career.

Bronze medal-winning lawn bowls competitor Bob Love has described finishing third in the open triples event at the Commonwealth Games as the "pinnacle" of his sporting career.

Love, who uses his feet to bowl having been born without arms, played alongside David Fisher and Paul Brown to beat Scotland 16-12 to secure the bronze earlier today.

The 60-year-old said: "It is the pinnacle of all my sporting achievement, I have been playing this sport all over the world for 30 years and this is pinnacle really.

"We've only come together as a team about four or five weeks before this event so it is great to return a bronze medal.

"You have to keep calm in that sort of situation, if you don't stay calm you will lose the game entirely. This is a team event and we all contributed to that medal."

The open triples features para-athletes with a range of disabilities.
