Scotland's Daniel Purvis claims gold on parallel bars

Scotland's Daniel Purvis wins gold at the Commonwealth Games as he wins the men's parallel bars event, while England's Nile Wilson and Max Whitlock claim silver and bronze.

Scotland gymnast Daniel Purvis has clinched the gold medal in the men's parallel bars at the Commonwealth Games.

The 23-year-old posted a score of 15.533 on the bars at the SSE Hydro to win his third medal of the Games.

Team England's Nile Wilson became the youngest medal recipient on the bars in the history of the Games at the age of 18, as he claimed the silver medal with a score of 15.433.

Max Whitlock continued his fine Games with the bronze medal and a score of 15.066, but Scotland's Frank Baines finished in fourth just outside the medal places with a score of 14.866.
