Team Scotland gymnast Adam Cox is confident that the British team will 'hammer' their targets as the Rio 2016 Olympics approach.
Cox featured in his last competition today by finishing seventh in the men's vault final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games with a score of 13.274.
The 27-year-old, who came out of retirement to compete in the home Games, earned a silver medal in the men's team final earlier this week.
As well as the Scottish team, including the likes of Dan Keatings and Daniel Purvis, England's Max Whitlock, Kristian Thomas and Louis Smith have all achieved medals during the competition,
"[The British gymnasts are] fantastic," Cox told Sports Mole. "Even when you look at the London Olympics when we took a bronze - the team's looking stronger than it was even then. I've got no doubt in the next two years that they'll be absolutely hammering that and I think their targets are to improve on it as well.
"When you've got Max on pommel and Daniel on pommel, and then you've got Purvis on floor and rings now and Kristian on vault. You're talking about world medallists on every single piece. It's hard to not think that they're going to do absolutely great work."
Canada's Scott Morgan won today's vault final, while England's Thomas took silver and Toon Wah Hoe of Singapore nabbed bronze.
