Ryan Moore: 'Claiming decisive Ryder Cup point is unbelievable'

Ryan Moore admits that securing the decisive point for USA was an "unbelievable" feeling as his team won the Ryder Cup for the first time in eight years.

Ryan Moore has admitted that he is overwhelmed having secured the decisive point for USA as they won the Ryder Cup for the first time in eight years.

Davis Love III's side ran out 17-11 victors at Hazeltine, but it was Moore who ensured that they reached their target of 14 1/2 after winning the final three holes of his match with Lee Westwood.

The 33-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I don't think I've had a moment to digest what just happened. I was trying my hardest, trying to not let my team down, to make Lee do something to beat me.

"To clinch the last point of the Ryder Cup for the US is unbelievable. This is something I want to be a part of every single year. The crowds have been so supportive."

Moore had only earned a place in the side after being given the final wildcard spot as a result of his performance at last week's Tour Championship.
