Miguel Angel Jimenez is currently leading the charge at the halfway stage of the Thailand Classic with a second-round 66.

The Spaniard is 11-under for the tournament and has a one-shot lead after carding seven birdies and recording a single bogey in Hua Hin.

Thailand native Kiradech Aphibarnrat remains in contention after scoring an eagle on the second hole, but he failed to overtake Jimenez due to hitting three bogeys on the course.

The closest challengers to the top spot come in a three-way tie, with Richard Lee, Scott Hend and Thongchai Jaidee all sitting nine-under for the tournament.

Yesterday's leader Michael Hoey has dropped to tied sixth and three shots off the pace following a second-round 72.
