Europe take 5-0 lead in day one fourballs of EurAsia Cup

Europe secure a 5-0 win over Asia in the fourballs event on day one of the EurAsia Cup in Kuala Lumpur.

Europe have dominated day one fourballs of the EurAsia Cup by securing a 5-0 clean sweep over the Asia team in Kuala Lumpur.

Miguel Angel Jimenez and Pablo Larrazabal got Europe off to a strong start by defeating Asia captain Thongchai Jaidee and Kiradech Aphibarnrat 2&1 on Thursday.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Stephen Gallacher overcame India's Gaganjeet Bhullar and Anirban Lahiri 4&3, while Victor Dubuison and Joost Luiten were able to continue the winning streak with a 3&2 win over Prayad Marksaeng and Siddikur Rahan.

Thomas Bjorn and Thorbjorn Olesen beat Koumei Oda and Hideto Tanihara by two holes, while Graeme McDowell and Jamie Donaldson rounded it off by defeating Kim Hyung-Sung and Nicholas Fung 3&1 after coming from three down.
