American Charley Hoffman holds a one-shot lead after the first round of the Valero Texas Open.
The 38-year-old recorded a bogey-free round, enjoying a strong start to the day as he birdied holes two and three before notching another on the ninth.
Hoffman was solid on the back nine as he scored birdies on the 11th and 17th to record a five-under round of 67.
Aaron Baddeley finished one shot behind Hoffman with a four-under round of 68, while Max Homa finished the day on three-under despite notching six birdies in his round.
Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson and Ryan Palmer are three shots off the pace heading into day two in Texas.
