Ian Poulter has claimed that the pressure playing in the Ryder Cup is far more intense than a major.
The Englishman will represent Europe for the fourth time in his career when the team travels to Medinah, Illinois, to face the USA next weekend.
"There's no comparison between the pressure and nerves and excitement that you get in the Ryder Cup compared to any situation you play individually. It just means that much," Poulter told BBC Sport.
"You've got 11 other guys, captains and vice-captains; you've got Europe all watching you and wanting you to do well. That just adds a lot of extra pressure."
Poulter has won eight out of a possible 11 points during his previous appearances at the famous tournament and is unbeaten in singles competition.
