Brandt Snedeker wins Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

Brandt Snedeker wins his second AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Open title in three years with a record-breaking 22-under-par score in Monterey.

Brandt Snedeker has won his second AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am title in three years with a three-shot victory over fellow American Nick Watney in Monterey.

Snedeker carded a 22-under-par 67, which is a record for the tournament, while nearest challenger Watney finished second with a 19-under 66.

Watney had made a strong start with four straight birdies, but three bogeys in a five-hole stretch proved costly and allowed Snedeker to claim the lead.

Charlie Beljan closed with a round of 66 to take third spot, while Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Pat Perez all finished on 17-under to complete a three-way tie for fourth place.

Jim Furyk, who had led going into the final day, could only manage a two-over-par 74, which saw him finish six shots behind Snedeker.

The victory moves Snedeker up to number 31 in the world golf rankings.
