Charley Hoffman claims victory at OHL Classic

Charley Hoffman shoots a final round of five-under to secure his third victory on the PGA Tour with his win at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

American Charley Hoffman produced a fine display on his final round to claim victory at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

The 37-year-old started the day in third place with a three-shot deficit to Jason Bohn, but he hit his stride early in the round with four birdies on the front nine of the course.

Hoffman maintained his solid round on the back nine with two more birdies, and despite bogeying the final hole, he managed to secure a round of five-under, which was enough to claim a one-shot victory at 17-under for the tournament.

Compatriot Shawn Stefani finished in second place on 16-under, while Australia's Danny Lee and America's Andres Gonzales tied for third place on 15-under.

Hoffman's victory was his third win on the PGA Tour, and his first since 2010.
