George Coetzee earns a one-shot lead on day one of the Qatar Masters.

George Coetzee has finished at the top of the top of the leaderboard on day one of the Qatar Masters.

The South African carded a round of 64 to leave him on eight-over-par, one shot ahead of countryman Dawie van der Walt.

England's Steve Webster joins Van der Walt on seven-under, while Spaniard Rafa Cabrera-Bello is one of four players on six-under.

However, defending champion Chris Wood endured a difficult day out on the course as he ended with a one-over round of 73.
