George Coetzee has finished at the top of the top of the leaderboard on day one of the Qatar Masters.
The South African carded a round of 64 to leave him on eight-over-par, one shot ahead of countryman Dawie van der Walt.
England's Steve Webster joins Van der Walt on seven-under, while Spaniard Rafa Cabrera-Bello is one of four players on six-under.
However, defending champion Chris Wood endured a difficult day out on the course as he ended with a one-over round of 73.
