Chris Wood seals his first European Tour title by carding an eagle at the last to clinch a one-shot victory in Doha.

Chris Wood has clinched his maiden European Tour title after a thrilling finish to the Qatar Masters.

The 25-year-old from Bristol carded an eagle at the last hole to seal a one-shot victory over George Coetzee and Sergio Garcia.

Wood was the overnight leader in Doha, but saw his three-shot lead wiped out with a double-bogey at the third.

Both Coetzee and Garcia made surges, finishing on seven-under and six-under respectively for the day.

Victory looked unlikely for Wood as he teed up at the 18th, but a superb drive was followed by a five-iron struck within ten feet of the cup.

He then held his nerve to roll the ball in and wrap up a spectacular win.
