Englishman Chris Wood completed an eight-under 64-round to surge into the lead with just one more round left to play in the Qatar Masters, while Martin Kaymer dropped six shots behind.
Wood had an impressive day on the course by shooting seven birdies and while he suffered a bogey on the 12th hole, his earlier eagle ensured that he remained at the top of the leaderboard.
The Brit sits three shots ahead of countryman Simon Khan, while Germany's Martin Kaymer, who was in a four-way tie at the top of the standings yesterday, had a less successful round by carding two bogeys and as many birdies.
Meanwhile, Sergio Garcia, who also had a strong round yesterday, dropped four shots off the lead by the end of play.
