Former world number one Tiger Woods has taken the halfway lead at the Chevron World Challenge in California.
The 14-time major champion hit two eagles and four birdies in a five-under round of 67 to lead going into the weekend at eight-under-par.
Overnight leader KJ Choi suffered a one-over 73, which included a quadruple bogey seven at the 15th and is now alongside Matt Kuchar in second, three behind Woods.
The American duo of Zach Johnson and Hunter Mahan are a further shot adrift at four-under for the tournament.
If Woods triumphs on Sunday it will be his fifth success at the tournament.
