Tiger Woods will win two of the four major tournaments this year, according to Colin Montgomerie.

Colin Montgomerie has admitted that he expects Tiger Woods to win two major tournaments in 2012.

The former world number one has shown signs of improving after a difficult two years and Montgomerie feels that 2012 could be a great year for the American.

Montgomerie claims that due to the locations of this year's majors, Woods has the capabilities to win the Masters and the British Open.

The former Ryder Cup captain told Sky Sports News: "I think he'll win two this year, I really do.

"I don't think Olympic Club is set up for him at the US Open, I don't feel Kiawah is that great a course for him, but I think Lytham and the Masters are set up for him and I think he'll win both of them, I really do."

Woods is currently world number 25.
