Chris Wood, Matthew Fitzpatrick to feature in Saturday's Ryder Cup foursomes

European duo Chris Wood and Matthew Fitzpatrick will make their Ryder Cup debuts in Saturday's foursomes.

Europe captain Darren Clarke has selected both Chris Wood and Matthew Fitzpatrick for the foursomes which will take place on Saturday.

USA head into the second day with a 5-3 advantage but Europe will feel that they have the momentum having won three of Friday afternoon's fourballs.

Rory McIlroy - who holed the final putt on the first day's play - will again partner Thomas Pieters as they take on Rickie Fowler and Phil Mickelson.

Clarke has opted to split up experienced duo Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose by placing them with two of the rookies, with Stenson and Fitzpatrick scheduled to meet Brandt Snedeker and Brooks Koepka in the second game.

Rose and Wood will take on Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson in the third match, while the fourth encounter sees Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed play Spanish duo Sergio Garcia and Rafael Cabrera-Bello.

Saturday's opening game will get underway at 1.35pm, BST.
