Sebastian Vettel has admitted that he made a "big mistake", despite claiming victory at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Red Bull teammate Mark Webber was angry with the result, claiming that Vettel ignored instructions from the team to hold their positions.
Vettel told reporters that he "messed up" in the race and should have stayed in the positions as requested, but insisted that he did not ignore the instructions on purpose.
"I'm not entirely happy, I think I did a big mistake," said the German.
"We should have stayed in the positions that we were in. I didn't ignore it on purpose but I messed up in that situation and obviously took the lead from Mark.
"I can see now that he's upset. I want to be honest at least and stick to the truth. I know that doesn't really help his feelings right now."
The win in Malaysia is Vettel's 27th.
