Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel describes finishing on pole position for Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix as "perfect".

Sebastian Vettel has revealed that he was happy with the balance of his Red Bull car after qualifying in pole position for Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.

The three-time world champion finished almost a second faster than second-placed Felipe Massa, and he has insisted that his car can go fast in any conditions that the Sepang weather throws at them.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "We took a little bit of a different approach in Q2, and we probably got a little bit lucky with the rain, but all in all, this car is quick, no matter what the conditions.

"I was happy with the balance in practice and we were able to take that into qualifying. The final session was mixed in terms of conditions, but good fun as well, even though it was difficult to try to get everything right.

"But the result is perfect and I am looking forward to tomorrow."

Vettel finished in third place in last weekend's Australian Grand Prix.
