Lewis Hamilton is looking to make vast improvements at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver was fourth at the Hungarian Grand Prix last time out and is now 88 points behind Sebastian Vettel in the world drivers' championship.
Hamilton has admitted that his sole focus is now on driving well at the Spa-Francorchamps course on Sunday.
"I'm not thinking about the championship because it can get very upsetting. I'm not going to bother with it," Hamilton said.
"What will be will be. What's important is I drive the best I've ever driven.
"I wasn't at the top of my game in the last race, and I want to make sure I'm at my best and the team are working towards being at their best so we can destroy the field."
The 26-year-old beat Mark Webber to win the Belgian Grand Prix last year after Vettel and Jenson Button collided.
