Haas' previous main sponsor has cautioned other businesses to carefully consider before making sponsorship commitments with the compact American F1 squad.

One month prior, a Swiss arbitration tribunal decreed that Haas must repay a portion of the sponsorship funds received from Uralkali for the 2022 season.

The Russian fertilizer heavyweight and its supported driver, Nikita Mazepin, were dismissed by Haas right as the Russia-Ukraine conflict commenced early in that year.

A stipulation from the Swiss court included the requirement for Haas to dispatch a 2021 race car, once driven by Mazepin, back to Uralkali, with the Tass news agency recently noting that the deadline for refunding the sponsorship amount and delivering the car was set for July 13.

Uralkali has now stated that Haas failed to meet this deadline.

"Regretfully," expressed a spokesperson from the Russian firm, "neither the money - plus interest plus costs - has been paid, nor the race car delivered by the required deadline."

"A letter sent by Uralkali to Haas in early July providing options for the delivery of the race car to take place went unanswered," the spokesperson from Uralkali elaborated. "Further interest on the awarded sum continues to accrue."

The firm accused Haas of a "flagrant violation" of the Swiss court's decision.

"This gives new meaning to the expression 'unsportsmanlike conduct'," remarked Uralkali. "Uralkali will use all means provided for under the law to see that the ruling is implemented."

"Let all current and potential Haas sponsors be aware of the kind of treatment that may await them."

Meanwhile, in additional Haas updates, the team has quashed speculation about Toyota's return to Formula 1 by confirming its continuation of technical partnerships with Ferrari until 2028.

Additionally, it is anticipated that Esteban Ocon will be revealed as F1 newcomer Oliver Bearman's teammate for 2025 and possibly longer during the upcoming Hungary-Belgium double header.

Both drivers are believed to have inked multi-year agreements.
