Wolves, QPR talking to Celtic's Gary Hooper

Wolves and QPR are in talks with Celtic striker Gary Hooper as the transfer deadline edges nearer.

The 23-year-old joined The Bhoys just a year ago in a £2.4m deal from Scunthorpe United, managing an impressive 20 goals in 26 appearances.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy previously said he was not expecting to make any further signings in the window but has re-ignited interest in Hooper after failing to pick him up last summer.

QPR's Neil Warnock is still looking for more new names to boost his recently-promoted side.
