Wolverhampton Wanderers closing in on Luke Murphy?

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly believe that they are nearing the signing of Luke Murphy.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly confident that they will shortly secure the services of Luke Murphy from Crewe Alexandra.

It is believed that Crewe turned down an initial bid from Wolves earlier this month because they want around £750,000 for the midfielder.

Blackburn Rovers are also monitoring the 23-year-old's situation, but Wolves feel that they are the frontrunners, according to the Express & Star.

Murphy scored eight goals during his 49 appearances in all competitions last season.
