New Wolverhampton Wanderers signing Sam Rickets has insisted that he has been handed a "great opportunity" by moving to Molineux.
Ricketts has dropped down to League One to join Wolves, who were relegated from the Championship last season, but the Welsh international is excited by his move to the West Midlands.
The 31-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm excited at what is a great opportunity.
"I know [manager Kenny Jackett] from working under him at Swansea and I know what a big club this is with huge support.
"Dropping down a division doesn't put me off at all, because of the size of the club. Wolves are not a club looking to stay in League One – we are looking forward and looking upwards."
The full-back becomes new head coach Jackett's first signing at Wolves.
