Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara has reportedly turned down an approach to join Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal this summer.
The 21-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in European football but is thought to have been deemed surplus to requirements by Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti, who has made him available for transfer.
According to Sky Sports Italy, Wolves have made an approach for the Guinea international but have been promptly rejected as the youngster 'has his heart set' on a move to Roma instead.
Diawara could only muster 13 appearances in the Serie A last season and while keen to get regular game time elsewhere, he is said to want to remain in Italy to further his development.
Wolves are in the market for reinforcements this summer as they prepare for a Europa League campaign and look to make an ambitious push into the Premier League top six.
